I can confirm that it is an umbrella. I can also confirm that it casts good shade. It feels very sturdy though I have not tested it in strong winds. It is on the heavy side, so not the ideal travel umbrella for a checked bag.

This sun umbrella is very well made and easy to use. I find it just a bit heavy, so that is why I gave it four stars instead of five. I like its appearance and it does shade me well in this summer weather. Even though it is a bit heavier than I would like, it is still light enough to carry and use on walks. It appears to be sturdy and should last a long time.

This was interesting to open. It's different. It feels unusual compared to other umbrellas I've had. It is thick, being double layered. The fabric is more substantial than a nylon or polyester like I'm used to.
Putting it away is also different as it folds down but the bulk has to be wrangled in. It's somewhat puffy when you're done.
It really must provide sun protection because of its reflective nature and its thick fabric. So this is good for rain or shine.

This pink umbrella is the definition of cute and functional. It held up like a champ during NYC wind gusts and didn’t flip once. The auto open/close works flawlessly and the double layer design keeps rain from sneaking through. But the best part? The pink is not just pretty, it pops — turning rainy days into runway moments.

I love this umbrella! I am avid about sun protection and this has saved me so many times when I didn’t know I was going to be in the sun for a prolonged period of time. Used this to shield myself from a nasty sunburn. I’ve had it for about a year and it’s held up nicely.

I really like this umbrella as the material is thick and it shields the sun well. The construction and workmanship of the umbrella is also good. This feels like the expensive type we buy from the department store. Operations is easy with one button opening it and the same button closing it. We just need to push the umbrella down to retract it. When folded the size is small enough to bring around especially when traveling. This umbrella is slightly heavier than some but this is due to the thick material used which will protect us from the sun. This will work well in rain or shine. Very well made product and I will highly recommend this.

Around here our springs are stormy and the summers intensely sunny. A very good umbrella is a must have if you want to remain comfy no matter the season.
This G4Free 46” windproof, compact, auto open and close umbrella with UPF 50 sun protection is exactly what we need. I love that it’s big enough to huddle myself and two kids beneath while closing compactly enough to easily take on the go. The construction does seem very sturdy and windproof, we haven’t used it in a gale yet but nothing feels or looks as though it would buckle under pressure. I actually adore the shape and silver sun deflecting color of this umbrella, it just looks like a sharp, quality item! The double layer fabric is thick enough that I imagine we will be nicely shaded on even the most scorching, sunny days.
As of this review, around 25 for this umbrella is a good value for a nice, well built umbrella to get you through almost any weather situation you may find yourself in. If anything changes I will update this review but as of now I absolutely recommend this umbrella! I’d been looking around for a long time and am glad I waited for the chance to have this one!

Havent used it yet, but it seems really sturdy!

This is a great and sturdy umbrella for sun and precipitation. My family and I went to Arizona last June and oh boy was that sun hot! (I live in Colorado and the sun is hot here, but that is some next level solar energy!) I ordered this in anticipation of going back and bringing a little shade with me. The fabric material is sturdy and the quality seems great. The push-button open/close is really nice too. It folds up nicely and fits snugly into the carry case. It weighs (almost exactly) 1 lb, 1 oz (or about 487 grams). I think the price is set well and is competitive with similar umbrellas. I chose the blue inner liner color and really like it. It adds a nice bit of character.

The Summer head will be back sooner than we know it. I work in the summer sun all day long, and my line of work often does not offer opportunity for shade of being/staying cool.

Overall high quality functionality, it out weights its overall curb appeal. When unfurled, wrinkles are all but unavoidable. There is no way to get around it. It’s gonna happen. But the performance is fantastic. Wholesome portable shade and cooling, can just about go anywhere you go.
