I had a similar sized solar umbrella and I wore it completely out. This is the replacement. And already I know this will last a lot longer. This is made with quality parts and feels sturdy. It doesn’t rattle or shake when I jiggle it fully opened. The automatic opening button was unexpected on a travel umbrella and much appreciated. It works very efficiently. Be careful! It packs a punch. And, of course, as a solar umbrella it lowers the temperature underneath by 20° (it feels to me). It doubles as a rain umbrella. I happily ditched the janky one for this. I have used it in extreme wind, and it held together with some strain (50 mph gusts) which was really asking too much of it. If I were to misplace this umbrella I’d buy another one of these, that’s how much I like it.

We live in Central Florida and endure a 9-month rainy season, but luckily, it's only at 3pm for a couple hours. So imagine going to a theme park and seeing the dark clouds meet from both coasts right over your head. Sure, you can buy a $10 poncho, or you can carry in your own umbrella. I look for smaller-sized umbrellas because I usually only bring in a small backpack or sling bag. I don't want an umbrella taking up valuable real estate in the bag for a brief rainshower. I'm also not embarrased to break out an umbrella on a super hot and sunny day-- my youthful days of frying myself in the sun are over. This umbrella is perfect for this scenario for a couple reasons-- it's small, reflects the sun, and has a second layer on the top to allow wind to come through without breaking the umbrella or bending it backwards.I didn't even know it had the latter part until I went to close it. Do you know how many umbrellas I've owned that have been broken by one gust of wind? The arms snap so easily, but that's the nature of an umbrella, I guess. It's also a one-button pop-up, as long as you've unhooked the velcro strap. That was kind of nice because some umbrellas still have to be pushed out, even after pushing the button and expanding the umbrella. This is a one-buttong operation. We'll see how this one holds up over time, but I'll probably buy a few more to store in the car because they always end up somewhere else or broken. Love the teal color on the underside and the reflective silver on the outside.

I Iove this umbrella!

The reason that I gave this umbrella a 4 star rating is because of the wrinkles. It is very wrinkled, and even after being up for a couple hours, the wrinkles were still there.
Everything else is great! This is primarily used as a sun shade. I really like that the inside color is light to keep it cooler. There is an air vent in the top as well, and that also helps with reducing heat under the umbrella. It is very easy to open and close, and it comes with a nice bag for storage. (The bag does not have a closure, so hold it upright.) This lightweight umbrella is great to take in a bag for a day out. It works for sun and rain!

What I like about this camera:
1) It is light weight umbrella with soothing light blue color. Great as a sun umbrella
2) It is compact, easy to travel or take a trip with it.
3) It can automatically open and close
4) Its top is not one piece but two pieces of fabric, allows breeze to come though. This is where also the catch comes. If it rains, the rain could come in as well, especially when wind blows at the same time.

Lightweight, easy to use and easy to carry!

This is exactly what it is described to be. It is a lightweight, and I really do mean lightweight, quality umbrella for travel. It is well-made and is big enough for one person, but does not add a lot of weight to my travel bag. I couldn’t be happier with this!

This automatic compact umbrella has strong ribs and a double canopy large enough for one. I love umbrellas with a double canopy because they don't turn inside out as frequently. This umbrella is small enough to fit in my purse, tote bag, and backpack without adding weight or taking up a lot of space. This is a well made quality umbrella.
