I am 124 lbs 5’5 and got a small. These fit great! They have quite a stretch to them. The perfect amount of baggy and still look put together.The material is kind of loud and synthetic feeling but overall good shorts. The pockets are deep but they are more in the front, so when I sit down my phone digs into my thigh.Overall, I would buy them again. Great shorts for everyday wear

These are very comfortable shorts. They do run larger but they are perfect for working out because they are water resistant. These are great pair of versatile shorts that can be worn with practically any outfit.

I like these shorts quite a bit. I was afraid they'd be longer on me than I prefer, but they are the perfect length. I don't like short shorts, but I also don't like shorts that almost fall to my knees. They fit me as shown in the product picture, which is a first for shorts on me. For this alone, I want to give these shorts 5 stars! I am very picky about length.The pleat pocket is very weird. I get the slit pocket. But this one turns into an awkward pleat. I guess it would make sense if you were trying to dress it up, but for hiking or exercising, it makes no sense.The back top is upside down yoked - the yoke goes from high in the center, to lower on the sides. A little weird ... but you don't really notice with them on.The material is on the thinner side, but it works perfectly for exercising or hiking where you don't want extra weight. It is water resistant and will keep you mostly dry underneath. I believe there are actually two layers of material, one is stretchier than the other (this is confirmed by the label, where it says there is a shell and lining, with the lining having more elastane). To try it on though, it doesn't seem lined (as in, they are not separable). The material is durable and the shorts seem well made. However, with the lightweightness of the material, it would feel weird to carry much weight in the pockets. It feels like it's pulling them down. A key or two, fine. But I would feel weird carrying my phone in the pocket because of the weight of my phone.As for the fit, I am between sizes, so I sized up. They fit really well, so I would suggest sizing up if you are on the edge. I don't feel like I am swimming in them like sometimes happens when I size up to be safe.All in all, weird quirks aside (pleat pockets, maybe not the best pockets for heavy items since they would weigh the shorts down, upside down yoked in back), these are wonderful shorts. These are the best shorts I've found in years.

This is a nice pair of shorts. They're well-made with flattering lines, but the pockets are at a weird spot - hidden in the pleat, but also about 1/2 the size of normal pockets. Because they're kind of loose, they do swish quite a bit. Nice shorts, but could be improved, in my opinion.

This is a short, athletic type shorts that sits way above your knee. The material is the kind that's light and dry, won't stick to your skin at all. It repels liquid, and super fast drying so you can walk in the water, come out, and it will be dry in no time. 2 pockets are almost invisible from outside, it's like a crease in the front. It's narrow but deep so keys and phone will stay safely in there. Zzipped pocket would be perfect for security, but this is enough unless you really go wild in your movement (like upside down, or rock climbing). Wide elastic fits securely and does not stretch too much so you want the just size or if in doubt go one size up.

This is a really lightweight, basic short for hiking, working out, errands. It's water resistant so it does dry fast. They are very thin, especially the pockets. I don't think the pockets could reliably hold keys or a phone. I found them unflattering on myself, though comfortable. They just lay a little weird on me. Machine wash cold with like colors. Hang or tumble dry on low.

Love these hiking shorts. Feels real comfortable to wear. The fabric is soft, lightweight, and breathable. It is true to size. Fit is good. It is also water resistant which is a plus. Stitching is good. It feels like it is well-made. One can wear it daily when doing some exercise such as walking, jogging, and/or hiking. Good value for the money.

These shorts are really nice! I'm a middle-aged woman and I don't like itty bitty shorts. It can be difficult to find longer athletic shorts so I was happy to find these. The 4" length is perfect! The material is a bit thicker than typical workout shorts, feels very durable. The shorts still keep me cool and are comfortable for walking, light workouts, or just lounging around the house. There are two front pockets which are roomy and deep, easily fit your phone, keys, wallet, etc. One thing to note is that there is no zippered pocket, which is a nice feature in hiking shorts, but the pockets are definitely deep enough you should not have any issues with stuff falling out.These washed up well in cold water and then I hung to dry like I do with all of my athletic wear. I am 5'7, 165 lbs, and usually wear size 8 or 10 in shorts. I ordered these in size large and I think they fit perfectly. At under $30 when I ordered them, I think they are priced well. These are great quality and practical shorts that I will wear a lot. If there were more colors besides navy and black, I'd definitely pick up a few more pairs!

I like G4Free clothing, and these shorts have the same lightweight, comfortable feel that I like from the brand. The fabric is soft, dries quickly, and would be especially nice for travel, sightseeing, or warm-weather vacations. I also didn't find the fabric noise to be nearly as noticeable as the listing suggests. There's a little rustling when you move, but nothing that bothered me. For me, these worked better as casual shorts than workout shorts. They're comfortable for walking, errands, and everyday wear, but I wouldn't reach for them for a serious workout. I don't like the waistband and pocket design. The gathering at the waistband combined with the pleated pockets draw attention to my lower stomach in a way I didn't find especially flattering. The fabric and comfort are there, but the fit through the midsection didn't work particularly well for my body shape.

These shorts are comfy and easy to wear! (although I can't battle you if I can't see you...) Seriously though, these are very airy and non-restrictive. They go on and off without any sort of fight. There are pockets, but I would honestly not use these for anything valuable. Just for long walks and hikes, I would say they are the perfect shorts to wear, but they are that "rustly" fabric so the texture is a bit hard. The size was accurate for me, but are stretchy to accommodate for your personal size. Pretty good price point so I can replace them whenever I need to!

Amazing pair of VERY comfortable lightweight shorts with pockets. Super attractive wear anywhere, with just enough stretch to make them comfy to wear even for long car rides and summer travel. I plan to get at least one additional pair!

I am very pleasantly surprised by these shorts! By their own product description of a slight rustling sound and being water resistant , I thought that the material would be potentially uncomfortable. (I can’t hear any “rustling”.) I’m happy to state that I was wrong. The material is very comfortable and has a four-way stretch to it making excellent choice for any outdoor activity. If I were still kayaking, these would be my go to shorts without a doubt. They are definitely water resistant and quick dry.Another important regarding the material. A lot of shorts of these type have a tendency to grab with the elastic waist, but these shorts have a smooth nylon (?) banding on the interior of the waistband so they are extra comfortable!I feel they are true to size. I ordered an extra-large (normally an 16-18 depending on manufacturer) and they fit perfectly.So:Quality: excellentFit: excellentComfort: excellent and far surpassing expectationsIf you are on the fence about these shorts, don’t be.Bonus: They come in a translucent slider-close bag that you can use to stow wet shorts if you end up taking a swim in them and can’t take the few minutes needed to quick dry them.

These shorts are water resistant and very light. The fit is good but the lay is a bit bulky. I like the pockets, they are nice and deep. My main dislike is that the description states 4 way stretch, but they really have no give or stretch. They are comfortable but can dig into your leg when stretching. The fabric is also a little noisy.
