As shown in the photo, this model has a flat bottom that measures about 2.5" x 7.5" in the main compartment versus the rounded bottom of the other. This model is more comfortable because the padded shoulder strap is 5" longer to accommodate the cell phone pocket. Finally the zipper on this model makes the main compartment easier to access than the slanted zipper on the other.
