Nice if you want a 15L bag + pockets for price of 30l

Last effort to get a foldable backpack on Amazon, I need a lightweight one for my purse to take with me busing & "shopping" around town / picking up "groceries" & "bulky items" on way home, like toilet paper packages ect.. or if my purse w/ medical, business stuff get too heavy to carry with injuries!.. I can't even fit my purse in & definitely couldn't use for an overnight bag! This is useless to me, I don't need a 40L bag for everyday but, also not another too small bag, or with a weird shape/ measurements that wont fit anything but a water bottle, snacks & book. I've had the perfect bags before & super cheap but they're not sold anymore :(
And a "true" 25-30l in the main compartment. So I'm returning it! Not sure what I think of the price point ( 24.99-29.99) for the size, as the quality & features seem ok/ good, but there are lots of bags this size for the same price or cheaper??

Lightweight & Compact

Super daypack for traveling. With an upcoming 5 week adventure, I was in search of a very compact and lightweight daypack that could be easily stowed in luggage and still be comfortable to wear for a day of adventuring. I chose this pack in "gray" but feel it is much more a "greige" or khaki color, which is what I prefer for an understated look. The two exterior side mesh pockets are deep enough and have enough space to stash water bottles, your phone, sunblock, bug spray or maybe hiking poles-whatever you want to grab quickly. There's also a main exterior stash mesh pocket that is deep and roomy. Not big enough for a pair of adult shoes other than perhaps flip flops, but a very light shell or other things could tuck in. I think I like the simple bungie hook closure to this pocket. The opening of each of the pockets has a little bit of an elastic stretch. The shoulder straps are VERY lightly padded and mesh backed for air circulation and may not offer a lot of comfort if you have heavy items you are carrying. There'a a grip handle at the top and loops to attach gear on the shoulder straps. It's impressive that there's even a waist strap to position and support the pack. I always appreciate a built in emergency whistle as well. Along the side of the pack, you will find the only zippered pocket (other than the main pack). This is good for things like your phone, trail maps, etc. Its very clever function is that it is the stuff sack for the whole pack when it is folded up, stuffed in and turned inside out. The video online was a helpful tutorial for that function. You'll need to make careful choice about what goes into that pocket while using the pack because anything in it will dig into the small of your back-so not keys or sharp, hard objects for me. The interior pocket is open and roomy with a single center thin divider panel that could somewhat organize gear (or might just be in the way.) I kinda wish there was at least one small zipper pouch for things like keys at the top inside. The stitching and fabric seem sturdy and the seams appear strong. I think this is going to be a very useful daypack on our trip and on into our camping adventures in the future. At less than half a pound in weight, it checks the box for travel and long hikes.

Finally found the perfect stowable backpack

Ive been on the hunt for a light weight, durable packable backpack that provides enough support and room to make it worth the trouble of packing. This is the one. Its light, coming in at about a half a pound, made of high-quality tear-resistant material and built to last. Its roomy enough for lots of gear, but still folds up into a pretty small package. It says wallet size, but thats not quite accurate as you can see from the picture. But still, small enough to throw in a suitcase and not take up too much space. Feels good on the back with comfortable straps and lots of pockets and spaces to stow gear, phones, water bottles and more. Very happy this pack, and got it in a nice, bright color so its easy to spot in case someone wanders off with it.

Not as comfy if you are a shorty

The G4Free 24L Lightweight Packable Hiking Backpack didnt arrive on the compact configuration and it quite the chore to get it to fit on the pouch pocket. Maybe instructions to make that process easier should be included. The backpack is very lightweight which means no padding. Fabric seems to be waterproof but zippers arent, thats why they say water resistant. Inside is roomy and side pockets are good. I fit 2 commercial plastic water bottles in 1 pocket. Im 51 and I adjusted it all the way possible but it wasnt comfortable to wear.

Nice day pack for what it is

This is a simple take it as you go day pack. No padding on the shoulders. A simple waist strap. Seems to be of basic nylon backpack material. It has a nice design and would be good for short hikes. Definitely would need more padding for longer hikes. Other than that we will see how this holds up. Definitely pay for something better if you can. If want something for basic day hikes get this.

Handy for travel

This backpack is a nice lightweight space saving bag. The material is strong and looks like it well wear well, the entire backpack is well made. There is a front slide in pocket that covers most of the front surface with an elastic closure. The shoulder/back straps are lightly padded for comfort, but not bulky with a small handle at the top. and a chest strap to keep it secure when active. The buckles are plastic and the one on the chest strap has a built in emergency whistle. All of the straps are adjustable. One side has a water bottle pocket that is deep enough to keep the bottle from tipping out. The other side is a pocket that is kind of a secret compartment when the bag is open and is the pocket that the back tucks into for storage. The entire backpack has reflective accents on it. The entire top half zips open to the interior compartment. The entire back side of the interior is a pocket for a laptop, tablet or files. I plan to keep this backpack stashed in my care for use on impromptu adventures!

Feels surprisingly sturdy

I'm usually not too optimistic when it comes to packable gear. It's usually made to skirt the lines of durability and function in favor of being lightweight.

I have to say, this thing feels fairly well-made. I guess I'll really have to see how it stands the test of time. It fills down to about the size of a cornhole bag and I like that it has the crossbody strap for stabilization.

In this photo, I've packed a shoebox with size 10.5 Adidas Stan Smiths, for reference.

Super lightweight and folds up small

I had been wanting a lightweight backpack for day trips so I chose G4Free option. It came in several colors and I chose the blue color, which I like very much. This backpack is on the small side, but that is exactly what I wanted. It comes completely folded and when folded it can be very easily packed for travel. It is made of nylon, which makes it extremely lightweight, but also somewhat water resistant. It has multiple compartments that make it easy for you to store numerous items. The zipper seems substantial enough as well. The straps are adjustable and once adjusted, it fit both my back and my husband's back perfectly. The only thing it is lacking is padding in the shoulder straps. This is not a big deal for me as I only plan to use this pack for daytrips (i.e., beach, the park, or to take when traveling, etc.) I don't think this pack is designed for heavy use. Overall, I am very pleased with this lightweight backpack.

Nice little packable backpack

This is a good packable backpack, it does pack down very small so is perfect to throw in your pocket for situations when you aren't sure if you will need a bag or not. The blue color is very nice and vibrant, it holds quite a bit, and the material is sturdy despite how thin it is. The straps could use a tiny bit more padding since they can get a little uncomfortable if you are carrying a heavy load, so that is the only thing they could improve upon, but otherwise it is great value!

Lightweight but holds a good amount!

I really love this bag and use it quite often. On weekends, we go orange picking in the trees and I can have dozens of oranges that I pack in there and ride for miles on a bike with it on my back. It is very comfortable and I haven't been afraid it was going to tear due to the weight of the oranges (30-40+ at a time). While I might carry a lot of oranges, I wouldn't necessarily place items with sharp corners or points as they might go through the material (so I do have to remove any leftover branches from the orange). Also, a little trick I use when I do have a heavy load is I wear a fanny pack around my waist, fill it with some items for my day and then turn it to the back and lay the backpack on top of the fanny pack. This allows me to not have to carry all the weight on my shoulders and lightens my load for a 10 mile ride back to the car!

I also use it during the week to carry all my groceries in their store bags from the car, it can handle at least 2-4 grocery plastic bags.

I also use it when I travel as it's a great small bag that can take care of many situations when you are off traveling such as shopping, hiking or carrying books etc.

I would not carry any expensive devices or equipment just in case. I do believe that it loses some of it's strength over time more quickly than maybe a stronger material bag due to the lightweight material. I can see some of the degradation in the bottom of the bag where I see light through tiny holes but it hasn't made me stop doing anything I've been doing, I just keep an eye on it.

It has reflective strips on the back straps so you can be seen in the dark from behind. It has many pockets for items such as 2 side pockets for umbrellas or water bottles. A small pocket for private items like your wallet, money or cards. It has a deep inner pocket where I carry the oranges and a smaller inner pocket for items such as sunscreen, wallet, chapstick, loose shirt or shorts, and other personal items.

I like that it's easy to control where the straps lay on my shoulders for comfort just by pulling or releasing the straps in the front. I don't believe mine came with a small carry pack but I may have just forgotten and misplaced it. But it doesn't really matter as the beauty of this type of bag and the main reason I ordered this was its ability to fold up into a small carry pack square on its own. At the end of my video included here I show you how to easily in less than :10 seconds, fold it up and pack it away! You just lie the backpack on the ground, take the sides and fold them into the middle section then turn the bag lengthwise and roll it from one end to the other where you see the 2 yellow loops connected by a small hook. Release the connecting hook and fold the bag into itself or inside out and then re-hook the two loops back together and WaLa ... You have the bag as it's own carry pack!

The only negative I have found after using this bag over 25+ times is that the pull strap on one side has loosened and my ability to keep it where I want on my shoulder sometimes drops a bit and I have to pull it tight again. But I highly recommend these bags and love LOVE love mine!!

Excellent backpack! Mine has 1 issue: yellow cable on front loose and frayed within a week

The bright yellow cable on the front pocket came loose and frayed within a week of receiving this backpack due to poor stitching. While the backpack is otherwise high quality (super light, plenty big for my size 13 gym shoes, shirt, and collapsible bowl for my dog, and side pocket for my phone and wallet, outside pocket for water bottle), contacting the manufacturer through Amazon was unsuccessful - it kept directing me to Amazon Assistant, not the manufacturer. I would have considered a partial refund to cover repair (stitching the cable back on) so I won't have to send it back, but since I can't reach the manufacturer, I'll likely need to return or replace it. But again, this is probably a singular issue -- otherwise I really truly like this backpack. If G4Free reads this, please contact me -- would love to receive a replacement as I am genuinely otherwise impressed with this backpack.

Fantastic lightweight bag

This backpack turned out even better than I expected! It folds up super small, which was perfect for packing, and was comfortable for wearing all day. It doesnt have a lot of fancy pockets, but it did the job and is a great value for the price.

Super leichter Rucksack
