These are really great quality, just a bit awkward for my personal tastes. I am normally a medium, and I sized up to a large based on both the size charts and Amazon's recommendation. They do fit, and I could see a medium probably being too tight on me because I don't have the smallest waist, but these are just slightly big in that kind of frumpy way now. The neither-here-nor-there length is also adding to that feeling. They feel like they might work better on a more mature woman. The length is like bike shorts on me but not as skin-tight since they're more substantial shorts, I just don't know if it's as flattering, and I'm not sure I'd grab them first for the hiking and summer activities I planned them for. But I really do like this brand and know that their stuff holds up extremely well and is top quality, so I will figure out a way to style them

I really wanted to love these shorts. I like the more tailored style vs. regular athletic shorts. I thought they'd be perfect on the golf course while still being comfortable. However, I followed the size chart, and I find that they run WAY small. They're so tight in the waist that they are absolutely not flattering at all. I would definitely size up.
