Failure to deliver, failure to communicate

I can't comment on the quality of this umbrella as after a completely bungled ordeal of an ordering process it never reached me...

Don't believe it if it says the item is in stock!

I ordered this umbrella as a birthday present, but after 5 days without any communication, I thought I should make an enquiry. To my dismay, the tracking information said the order had yet to be shipped. When I emailed to ask why, they only then decided to inform me the item was out of stock! I was offered an apology and asked if I would like to change the colour, so I did and waited for the order once more. Another several days passed (the birthday in question now long gone), and there was still no sign of the umbrella. I looked at the tracking info, and there was no sign the order had ever been updated. Another email, and they said the replacement had been lost in transit. A subsequent email enquiring if they could send another, and they now tell me my second choice colour is also out of stock! What a shambles!

Great umbrella; careful with fading

I purchased this umbrella a year ago and it has been great for the Florida sun and rain! I love the large 68” size for extra sun and rain protection, however since it’s so large and I kept this umbrella in the car, I would have to store it behind the back seat headrests and it got discolored with the sun. I also noticed that the “closing” mechanism has to be wiggled a bit for it to lock, but other than that the umbrella is still holding up after a year’s worth of use.

Just what I was looking for

I use this umbrella on my balcony of my 42nd floor apartment in NYC. I cannot have a regular size umbrella up here for safety purposes so I rigged this umbrella to a pole and it has done exactly what I wanted - created enough shade for me and my dog and cat (when she comes out). Vey sturdy and easy to use. I like to slow open. I know not the traditional way to use an umbrella like this but for me, it is perfect.
