Run big

The pants are made of high quality thick fabric, have 2 pockets. So overall I’d give 5 stars, but there is a problem with sizing. they run very big… size M is way too big for 5’7” 150 lb person, but size S was the same.

My favorite pants for the season!

The pants are super comfy, stretchy, and warm! As cold weather approached, they became my favorite pants. I am 5'3" and went with 29" as listed on the size chart, and the length was perfect. My waist is 26", and I chose the S size since XS was listed for 23.0–25.0. However, since the fabric is stretchy, I should have ordered XS since S feels a bit loose on me. I will order another color in XS since I love them so much.

Fabric stretches at the knees but does not retract

These are a very warm pair of yoga pants that fit nicely around the waist without being restrictive. The pockets are not on the outside of the pants as most of the newer yoga pants have the side pockets. Something I did notice is that if you are sitting for a while, you can see where your knees have stretched the fabric when you stand up. For working out, that is fine, but wearing these outside the house is a no for me. Also, there are 2 seams on the inner legs, as if they sewed in a 2 inch panel to make them wider. The 31” length is just a tad long for my 5’4” frame, but not enough that I would need them to be shortened.

Slightly warm

These fleece lined leggings are slightly warmer than regular leggings. If you’re wanting something super warm, I’m not sure these are them.To be fair, I live in central Texas and it’s currently 89 degrees.I have a window AC unit that keeps our room at 68 degrees Fahrenheit, and I wore them in the room to see how much it helped. They were a bit warmer than regular leggings. When the temperature drops to true cold, I’ll update the review.-Wife

Super comfy and easy to move in

These pants are so soft, both inside and outside. The fleece on the inside is extremely comfortable and even after washing it a few times stays soft. The outer material/shell reminds me of a soft shell jacket. These are warm and cozy. Because of the material on the outside and the flexibility of the fleece on the inside, you’re able to move freely without feeling like the pants are going to tear. The pockets are just right for holding my phone as I’m walking around. The pants fit as expected without being too snug in certain areas. I am even able to wear a pair of leggings comfortably under them for additional warmth, especially at the ankles where the material of the pant leg flares.I like the color of the gray because of the versatility and because most of my other yoga pants are black and this gave me some variety.I do think the price is a bit high for one pair of pants, I would pay around $20, no more than $25 for these.

It runs a bit big and very wide

These pants are very well made but it runs a bit big. The material is thick and very warm. They are very comfortable and have pockets. The legs are VERY wide. I did not find them flaterring but sure is comfortable. I like the feel of the fabric. The waistband is stretchy and comfortable. Fabric wash well.

perfect warmth

I ordered this pant and the Pro-Guide lined pant, both in size 4. They are prety much exactly the same pants! I chose this one over the Pro-Guide because it felt slightly bigger in the waistline. ALSO: The Pro Guide has side thigh pockets- one for each thigh, while this pant, the Ranier Lined pant only has a thigh pocket on the left side. Maybe that's why the Raniers are originally less expensive than the First Ascent Pro-Guide pants. I love the warmth and relaxed fit for wearing around our drafty house or walking the dog on a cold day. It's so easy to throw these on rather than put on layers of long johns plus a pair of pants. I wouldn't say they're very flattering, so don't expect a slim-line silhouette. That is fine by me - I'm not thick- 128lbs/5'5" -- I just don't like to have skinny tight pants on if I can help it. I was going to return the Pro-guide pants, but maybe I"'ll hang onto those, too... these are just so awesome. I do wish either pair had back pockets, though... because back pockets can be so useful.

Very comfy, but runs long in the inseam

I really like these pants, and I hope that I can make them last a long while. I was very pleased by how thick they are, which is perfect for chilly Washington winters. These actually look nice enough for me to wear to work! AND THEY HAVE PROPER POCKETS. I admittedly usually a small and bought a size up because I presumed that the non-domestic make would make them too tight. They are probably a perfect medium, if not just the tiniest bit loose. My only gripe is that the inseam is a good 2 inches longer than I expected. Even wearing my thickest soled sneakers didn’t help and I’m going to have to break out the sewing machine if I want to wear these on a regular basis. As nice as the material looks, I can tell that it is going to be susceptible to snagging, so I’ll need to take particular care when wearing these out and about if I want to get some longevity out of them.

Great for cold day

The fabric is soft and warm. Feels a bit heavy but okay for me. The length is perfect, just hit top of my feet, doesn’t need alteration.
