Well built and attractive

It's a good looking umbrella. The wooden handle looks very nice. The canopy is large, and the overlapping layers do seem to help in the wind. The mechanism works well.The only complaint I have is that the product name seems a little weird. G4Free sounds like a cellular network name, not an umbrella company. I know, it's petty. God, am I one of those people that complain about stupid things in a review? It's hard coming to terms with this. But it's embossed right there on the beautiful wooden handle. It seems like it should be some upper crusty sounding British name. Maybe Addington or Hartford. Something classy.But it's a great umbrella. Probably best to focus on that.

Got me to and from work on many ugly gloomy windy rainy days! Handles it all and is wide enough to keep you dry even when rain is coming down sideways! Great umbrella

Stay dry!

Why do I use an umbrella? To stay dry. I was tired of using tiny umbrellas that barely cover me and my bag in the perfect world where all of the raindrops only fall straight down. Add in a little wind and everything from the chest down gets wet. Not anymore! Open this bad boy up and it is like walking around with a portable tent that keeps me and my bag dry. This thing is massive! I get stared at all the time here in Korea because it's hard to find umbrellas this size here.

Best umbrella I've ever owned!

I live in Oregon's Willamette Valley, no stranger to wind and rain. And, for the past 20 years I have walked for an hour every day around my small town. Needless to say, a good, full size umbrella is a necessity for keeping dry and comfortable. And, I've gone through several umbrellas in that time. The last one I bought was a "golf" umbrella that was totally ruined after just 2 weeks when a gust of wind turned it inside out, breaking some of the spokes.This umbrella is just the right size (56" across the opening) and the wind flaps work great in keeping it intact in a sudden breeze or constant wind, and keeping me dry. The opening and closing mechanism is well made, solid and easily clicks into place.I was not keen on having a curved handle (probably because I'd never had one), but I will never buy another umbrella without it. Not only does it free up my hands by hanging it on my arm if I stop to shop at a market on my walk, but it is much more comfortable to hold for long periods of time. One big bonus for me is that I always walk with a Rick Steves daypack, so if it's not raining when I take off (but I fear that it might) I just hang it from the backpack strap and don't even notice it as I walk. Simply perfect for me!

It's a Christmas Gift

I bought this for my granddaughter who lives in CA, so I will either have to return it for another type or have it mailed to her -- I'm in Alabama. I thought it was collapsible and she'd be able to take it on the plane. It looks nice, but I can't rate it.
