Very comfortable, good quality

These pants were originally bought prior to traveling to Iceland. They did the job! They are very comfortable, and are not too tight. You have the option to tight up the bottom of the pant leg if you’d like.

Lightweight but Durable

These are an awesome pair of pants. They fit true to size and aren’t overly long, especially when you use the ties at the bottom to cinch them in and give them that jogger look. I included a pick of the ties for reference. I also like how you have the option to wear them multiple ways. The material is lightweight and breathable, but it feels sturdy and of good quality. They do seem to repel water well and help keep you dry. They’re perfect for camping or any outdoor activities really. They’re also pretty cute, which is always a plus when it comes to clothes that are meant to be functional primarily. I think you could totally get away with wearing them out to casual events if you pair them with a nice tank top or something. They’re also really great for working out in the garden. These pants are super easy to clean, you can wipe them with a cloth in between washes if you get some dirt or something on them. Overall they’re a very versatile and useful pair of pants.

Very lightweight with awesome pockets

I’m shocked by these pants. They’re a great fit. Very lightweight. Awesome for gardening and yard work. Awesome pocket sizes. Long enough for taller gals. The only downside is the local of stretch. Even though the waist is elastic, there’s not a lot of elastic. Luckily the size fits me well for my normal everyday wear. They’re worth every penny and I could use a few more in case these tear. Super comfy and super lightweight. Awesome for warmer months. Although they do wrinkle easily. But my plants aren’t judging me.

Mostly meh maybe more

These are more like scrubs, but with that parachute-style material, they are effective at being fairly resistant to water. However, they run very big; the photo shows the XS size on my wife and it is still quite large on her. They are great for wandering outside, especially on a muddy or wet day or for a casual leisure hike, but that baggy material would make a serious, high-intensity hike a bit of a pain. Like most water-resistant clothes, they also get a bit warm since they don't breathe perfectly. I'm not crazy about them overall, but they are fine for certain specific applications. Definitely worth four stars, but nothing worth going overboard about. Quality is good overall

Lightweight, practical hiking pants with a comfortable fit and useful details

These G4Free women’s hiking pants are a solid option for anyone who wants a lightweight, quick-drying pair that can pull double duty for outdoor use and everyday wear. The fabric has that typical “parachute” feel, meaning it’s thin, airy, and dries fast after light moisture. They’re best thought of as water resistant rather than truly waterproof. They’ll handle damp grass, splashes, or a quick drizzle without immediately soaking through, but they’re not meant for sustained rain.Fit is one of the stronger points. The elastic waistband combined with a drawstring makes it easy to get a secure feel without being restrictive, which is helpful for hiking, traveling, or long days on your feet. The cut leans relaxed, so they’re comfortable for movement, and the material doesn’t feel heavy or clingy. Some people may notice the slight “swish” sound when walking, which is common with this style of fabric and may or may not matter depending on personal preference. The adjustable cuffs are a genuinely useful feature. Worn loose, the pants have a casual straight-leg look that works fine for errands. Cinched slightly, they stay out of the way on trails and won’t drag or catch on shoes, especially helpful on uneven ground or when conditions are muddy. The pockets are also functional and deep enough to carry a phone and small essentials without feeling like items will slip out right away.Overall, these pants do what most buyers want from a lightweight hiking/travel pant: they’re comfortable, easy to adjust, quick to dry, and practical. The main reasons they don’t earn a perfect score are that the “water resistant” claim has limits and the fabric feel and swishiness won’t be everyone’s favorite. For casual hikes, travel days, and everyday active wear, they’re a dependable choice.

Well made, water resistant and UV protection.

These are well-made, lightweight hiking pants with a durable nylon feel. The material is breathable, quick-drying, and water resistant, and I like that they also offer built-in UV protection. The design is comfortable and functional. The elastic waistband with adjustable drawstring makes it easy to get a good fit, and the adjustable cuffs give you options. Cinch them and they look like barrel pants. Uncinched, wide leg casual. The wide-leg style gives them a relaxed look, and the side pockets are a good depth and practical for everyday use.I did size up based on the chart, but it wasn’t really necessary as they run a bit roomier than expected. One detail I noticed is the seam at the knees, which looks a little unusual but seems to allow for better movement and flexibility when bending or stepping.Overall, they’re comfortable and versatile for outdoor or casual wear. I wore them to do yoga in the park and didn't feel restricted in movement. They do feel a bit pricey for a fairly simple design, but the added features like water resistance and UPF protection help justify it.

So Comfortable and Light

These pants are really lightweight and comfortable! Everything from this brand that I’ve gotten is high quality- including these pants. I normally am a regular pant length and size large and these fit me perfectly. I haven’t actually worn them hiking yet, but the material is the type that seems like things won’t stick to them when I do. These are great just for running errands or mom life. I like that you can adjust the bottom cuff to make it tighter if desired. It’s very easy to adjust. I like the wide leg look, but options are nice. These wash and wear well and I really like the draw string waist. Overall I really like these pants and would recommend!

love these lightweight pants for outdoor activities

I ordered these in my search for summer-appropriate work pants; I work outdoors but need to keep my legs covered, so the idea of the lightweight material was appealing. Although they probably look a bit oversized for my petite frame, I love these!I'm 5'2" and 100 pounds, and ordered the XS. They are a bit oversized, but not so much so that they fall off, and the waistband has a tie that helps them stay up. They are plenty long for my longer-than-average (for a petite body) inseam, and the little drawcords in the hems makes it possible to tie them up to ankle- or calf-length for times I need to walk through mud (which is often). The fabric is great! It is very stretchy and easy to move around in, it does in fact dry quickly if it gets wet, and in my experience is strong and not see through. I ordered these for the hot days of summer to keep my legs covered with something lightweight, but I've been wearing them on cooler days, too, because they are easy to layer over leggings. These perform so well and look good enough that I plan to order at least one other pair.

Tall hiking pants ✋😩🤚

Great fit! I got a size small tall and could’ve gotten an xsmall tall, the waist is a bit big but it’s okay because the pants have drawstrings. The length is perfect! I’m 5’9 so having the extra length is super helpful. The color is good, a dark navy. The pockets are deep but I don’t see myself using them since they’re only in the front. There are also some darts in the knees to give you more room which is awesome because the fabric isn’t stretchy. Good hiking and fishing pants!

Great hiking pants!

I was a little nervous looking at the size options, there were so many different options I wasn't sure what would work best for me, I went with my gut and picked the description that sounded best for me, I was right! They fit true to size as I would expect them to fit (I was so relieved!).These pants are made of the parachute material and feel as you would expect, I'm not going to sneak up on anyone, but I like this material hiking here in the Pacific Northwest where we hike in the rain a lot, it is nice to dry off quickly and not be wet the rest of the day or the entire drive home. The cut and construction of the pants is as you would expect, nothing special or different, just standard good pants.

Hiking Pants

I love this brand! They offer so many sizes and options on their pants and trousers, which is great for someone like me who is on the petite side. It is hard to find pants that are both XS and petite length. G4Free usually comes through for me, but these hiking pants still feel too big, even at XS and short length. I am 5'3" and 95 libs and I am swimming in these around the rear and thigh area. The length is good. I love the option of cinching them, but the drawstring at the ankle is pretty awkward. Because the leg is so wide, there needs to be a lot of drawstring to accommodate the width at the ankle, but when you cinch it, what do you do with all of that extra string? It just kind of hangs there. I feel like that is not convenient for pants designated for hiking. It seems like a tripping hazard waiting to happen. Overall, these are well made pants. G4Free makes quality stuff, but they are not for me. They are too big and baggy and I don't like the way the drawstring just hangs there.

Great Tall Options, Oversized Fit, but Fabric is a Bit Rough

I selected the black pants in Size XX-Large Tall because I wanted a baggy, loose fit—but they turned out bigger than I expected. My normal medium would have already fit loose and baggy, and a large would probably have been just right for the style I was going for. Keep in mind that these are already designed with an oversized cut.A word of caution: the provided sizing chart is definitely wrong. It lists Size S (24–26"), M (26–28"), L (28–30"), XL (30–32"), and XXL (32–34"), but the actual measurements are closer to XS (24–26"), S (26–28"), M (28–30"), L (30–32"), XL (32–34"), and XXL (34–36"). To make matters more confusing, the inside tag doesn’t match the provided chart either—it reverts to U.S. women’s sizes, showing XXL Size 14–16. This is important because following the incorrect chart could easily lead to ordering the wrong size. The material is thinner than I anticipated. Even though polyester is typically known to be soft, the fabric has a slightly rough feel against the skin and can be prone to static, especially when wearing workout shorts underneath. The waist itself doesn’t have much elasticity, so the drawstring is necessary to get a secure fit.On the positive side, the ankle drawstrings are sturdy and hold well without slipping, and the pleats at the knees provide excellent flexibility for hiking or outdoor movement. The two side pockets are deep enough for essentials, which is always a plus. I also appreciate that the brand offers tall sizes—perfect for those of us with longer legs—even if this particular pair ended up too big for my frame.Overall, these pants are lightweight, breathable, and functional for outdoor activities. The fit is roomy, the design allows for easy movement, and the tall options are a thoughtful addition. My only drawbacks are the oversized fit for my size, the slightly rough polyester material, and the misleading sizing information, which is why I’m giving them four stars.

Roomy hiking/athletic pants

I didn't find these to be flattering in any way. They were boxy and felt oversized. Now in all fairness they are a hiking pant. Because of the fit, I would recommend sizing down, and still have enough room for comfort. The material was nice and even with the elastic waist, they felt well made. Recommend 8/10

Perfect Lightweight Pants for Everyday Wear & Travel

I was pleasantly surprised by how versatile and comfortable these pants are. I originally bought them for hiking, but I’ve been wearing them as yoga pants and even for casual errands. The fit is perfect for my 5'3" frame—the 27" length hits just right without needing any alterations. The adjustable drawstring makes the waist super flexible, and the fabric is lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying. I also love the pockets—they’re actually functional and hold my phone securely. Overall, these are a great value and I’ll likely grab another pair in a different color.

So good for hiking

The pants are lightweight and comfortable, making them great for hiking, travel, or everyday outdoor wear. The fabric dries quickly and handles light moisture well, which is helpful for unpredictable weather. They allow easy movement without feeling restrictive, and the adjustable length options help get a better fit. The material also feels breathable and the UPF protection is a nice bonus for sunny days. A practical pair of outdoor pants that balance comfort, mobility, and durability.

Good but Staticky

As a 5-foot petite wearer, I really like how these pants fit—proportionally nice without being too long or baggy in the legs/waist. The adjustable cinch at the bottom is a handy feature for customizing the look or keeping them secure during activity. It's a nice wide leg style when not cinched. They're super lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear or light outdoor stuff, and the pleats at the knees give extra flexibility when bending, squatting, or lifting my leg—no restriction at all. Big plus on the UPF 50 protection and water resistant features; feels reassuring for sunny days and on active days like hiking etc.The main downside is the fabric has a slightly plastic-y feel and is prone to static, so it attracts dust, lint, and hair easily. So you have to lint roll.Still, for the price and the fit/features (especially for petites), they're worth it for the purpose of hiking and active days.
