I can confirm that it is an umbrella. I can also confirm that it casts good shade. It feels very sturdy though I have not tested it in strong winds. It is on the heavy side, so not the ideal travel umbrella for a checked bag.
This sun umbrella is very well made and easy to use. I find it just a bit heavy, so that is why I gave it four stars instead of five. I like its appearance and it does shade me well in this summer weather. Even though it is a bit heavier than I would like, it is still light enough to carry and use on walks. It appears to be sturdy and should last a long time.
This was interesting to open. It's different. It feels unusual compared to other umbrellas I've had. It is thick, being double layered. The fabric is more substantial than a nylon or polyester like I'm used to.
Putting it away is also different as it folds down but the bulk has to be wrangled in. It's somewhat puffy when you're done.
It really must provide sun protection because of its reflective nature and its thick fabric. So this is good for rain or shine.
We're 'covered' either way!
This pink umbrella is the definition of cute and functional. It held up like a champ during NYC wind gusts and didn’t flip once. The auto open/close works flawlessly and the double layer design keeps rain from sneaking through. But the best part? The pink is not just pretty, it pops — turning rainy days into runway moments.
I love this umbrella! I am avid about sun protection and this has saved me so many times when I didn’t know I was going to be in the sun for a prolonged period of time. Used this to shield myself from a nasty sunburn. I’ve had it for about a year and it’s held up nicely.
I really like this umbrella as the material is thick and it shields the sun well. The construction and workmanship of the umbrella is also good. This feels like the expensive type we buy from the department store. Operations is easy with one button opening it and the same button closing it. We just need to push the umbrella down to retract it. When folded the size is small enough to bring around especially when traveling. This umbrella is slightly heavier than some but this is due to the thick material used which will protect us from the sun. This will work well in rain or shine. Very well made product and I will highly recommend this.
Around here our springs are stormy and the summers intensely sunny. A very good umbrella is a must have if you want to remain comfy no matter the season.
This G4Free 46” windproof, compact, auto open and close umbrella with UPF 50 sun protection is exactly what we need. I love that it’s big enough to huddle myself and two kids beneath while closing compactly enough to easily take on the go. The construction does seem very sturdy and windproof, we haven’t used it in a gale yet but nothing feels or looks as though it would buckle under pressure. I actually adore the shape and silver sun deflecting color of this umbrella, it just looks like a sharp, quality item! The double layer fabric is thick enough that I imagine we will be nicely shaded on even the most scorching, sunny days.
As of this review, around 25 for this umbrella is a good value for a nice, well built umbrella to get you through almost any weather situation you may find yourself in. If anything changes I will update this review but as of now I absolutely recommend this umbrella! I’d been looking around for a long time and am glad I waited for the chance to have this one!
Havent used it yet, but it seems really sturdy!

Long gone are the days of tanning beds and sitting by the pool with iodine in your baby oil. Yeah, we knew it wasn't good for us, but we were young and invincible. Now we carry to scars of skin issue removals and only take the sun in very small doses. Enter this amazing sun umbrella!! I'm sure it would work as a regular umbrella as well, but I haven't tried that. What it does REALLY well is block the sun! I was afraid it would actually be reflective and cause a glare to those around me. Not the case! It is a thick material and doesn't reflect any more than any other light material. Because of the thick material, it is a little heavier than your standard umbrella, but nothing concerning. It has a convenient pop open and collapse button and a matching carry case. Very happy with this!! Bring it on Summer!!
This is a great and sturdy umbrella for sun and precipitation. My family and I went to Arizona last June and oh boy was that sun hot! (I live in Colorado and the sun is hot here, but that is some next level solar energy!) I ordered this in anticipation of going back and bringing a little shade with me. The fabric material is sturdy and the quality seems great. The push-button open/close is really nice too. It folds up nicely and fits snugly into the carry case. It weighs (almost exactly) 1 lb, 1 oz (or about 487 grams). I think the price is set well and is competitive with similar umbrellas. I chose the blue inner liner color and really like it. It adds a nice bit of character.

Very good uv protection and great quality product
This auto opens and closes. It's a very thick fabric. No light does through it. Great sun protection. The quality of construction is excellent. This is not cheaply made.
This umbrella has good coverage and will work well for sun or rain. Easy to open and close. However, it is much heavier than the 1lb described so I will not be using this for travel.
The G4Free 46-inch UPF 50+ travel umbrella is seriously impressive! The double canopy design holds up well in windy conditions, and the auto-open feature makes it super convenient. It’s sturdy yet lightweight, making it easy to carry around. The UV protection is a great bonus, especially for sunny days. Overall, it’s a well-made, reliable umbrella that does exactly what it promises. Highly recommend!
For a compact umbrella this thing has some mass. It has a really strong spring and action for opening and for releasing the open tension to close it back down. The double fabric layer does make this unit really good at blocking water (so far) and it holds up well in the winds I have been able to test it in.
The action on collapsing is a bit stiff, but its only been a few weeks, it might get easier with time. The umbrella does provide decent coverage but the handle ends up being shorter as its a compact unit. It has become my main travel and carry umbrella, the metallic gray exterior also does a great job keeping it visible when it gets lost on the truck floor.
My daughter got this. She's gonna be headed up to Washington and a few weeks and it rains a lot up there. So this will be great for her.
This umbrella is a lifesaver! It provides great coverage, blocks out harmful rays, and keeps me cool on sunny days. The material is durable, and it’s lightweight yet sturdy. Perfect for outdoor activities or everyday use. Highly recommend! I promise you have never seen anything like this
Part my fault for expecting ordering black to be an all black design. The underside is indeed black, while the top remains the full silver reflective thick rubber-like material. Size is good for one adult, without being overly bulky. Holds up in wind as well. Easy to open and close. A well built and durable design that should hold up stored in the included bag in the car until needed.
I needed an umbrella to keep in my car. This was a great option. It has a very fast/strong release mechanism when it pops open- so be ready! Its rather heavy, maybe the heaviest umbrella I've ever used. It is very well constructed and as such, seems super durable. Aside from its weight, another gripe is when you close it, its difficult to get the velcro strap around it again to secure it shut. You kind of have to wrestle with it to get it closed. If they made the velcro strap longer, it'd be much easier. But even so, this isnt an umbrella I plan on traveling with, so it won't get used too often. It is comforting to have a dedicated, durable umbrella in the car at all times so I am still happy to have it.
This umbrella does not appear as smooth and wrinkle-free as shown in the pictures on its webpage, which is understandable. Despite being somewhat wrinkled, it looks fine and feels high-quality. This is the first umbrella we have owned with a two-layer design: the inner layer is made from 190T Pongee High-Density Waterproof Fabric, and the outer layer from 210T Titanium Silver Coating fabric. The 190T Pongee is typically made from polyester, often treated with PU or PVC for water resistance or full waterproofing. The 210T fabric is denser, slightly thicker, and coated with titanium silver, making it highly waterproof, UV-resistant, heat-insulating, and durable.
Rated UPF 50+ (Ultraviolet Protection Factor), the umbrella blocks at least 98% of harmful UV rays. According to its UV protection test report, it blocks 99% of UV rays, including both UVA and UVB, which is awsome. This umbrella provides excellent protection against both rain and sun.
Weighing 1.05 pounds, the umbrella is lightweight. My scale measured 1.1 pounds, which is close enough — I trust the manufacturer likely uses more precise equipment. Besides being lightweight, it is also compact, making it easy to carry around.
The opening and closing mechanisms work smoothly as designed. It opens automatically at the push of a button, though closing requires manual effort. Its webpage states, “you can quickly open or close the travel umbrella at the press of a button,” which is not quite accurate and need to be updated.
I will need more time to evaluate its durability and reliability, but based on its current performance, I am pleased and highly recommend it. If anything changes, I will update my review accordingly.
The Summer head will be back sooner than we know it. I work in the summer sun all day long, and my line of work often does not offer opportunity for shade of being/staying cool.
I had the opportunity to pick up the G4Free UPF 50+ UV Protection Sun Umbrella, with Double Layer fabric. Offering a Windproof and Compact Travel Umbrella.
The build material encompasses a double layer fabric design, detailing 190T Pongee waterproof fabric and 210T Titanium Silver Coating fabric. Then composition of both materials offers sun protection while boasting waterproofing characteristics.
Overall high quality functionality, it out weights its overall curb appeal. When unfurled, wrinkles are all but unavoidable. There is no way to get around it. It’s gonna happen. But the performance is fantastic. Wholesome portable shade and cooling, can just about go anywhere you go.
Highly recommended. Easy use in regards to set up and take down. Comes with a carry bad for added protection from rips and tears or damage to to the silver coating. Small and compact. It’s lightweight and travel worthy. Fits easliy into a back pack, travel bag, suitcase, glove box, car storage compartments, and more.
Havent used it yet, but it seems really sturdy!
