Great addition to my backpack of the same. Giving versatility when carrying less
great sling made well and compact
I'm giving the backpack 4 stars because it seems to have very sturdy construction. However, I am returning it because the water bottle pockets will not hold a typical refillable water bottle. It will hold only the smaller disposable water bottles, which is not very useful for a backpack. If the water bottle pockets aren't an issue for you and the relatively small size of the backpack are OK for you, I would say this would be a good purchase.
Nice, well made . Good quality zippers and material. Perfect day bag
I purchased this bag for use as a trauma kit. The G4Free "G4Free Tactical Sling Bag Backpack for Men" opens up into two pockets with one restraining strap. Rear panel is well padded, and with zippers on both sides, opens into a "secret" compartment. Interestingly, the "inside tool holder" looks suspiciously like a holster. So this sling pack would offer a conceal carry option. The buckles/fasteners are plastic.
This “G4Free Tactical Sling Bag Backpack for Men,Military Durable Shoulder Pack Tactical Bag for Travel, Hiking, Outdoor Sports Khaki (Khaki)” is a pretty good “sling bag”. The overall material and construction is pretty good. Got all the necessary bells and whistles. Lots of pockets and compartments, so that you can fit many of your random items. Good for traveling too, holding onto your critical documents and a few more traveling essentials, headphones, jackets, umbrella, water bottle etc… (basically this can also be your EDC/every day carry bag). Also love the velcro loop area in the front, you can customize this bag by putting a bunch of “morale patches” up there. Best of all, the price is very good for what you get. G4Free is a good affordable brand that always does pretty good in the cost vs performance department, its a good value brand.
Thank you for reading this review, I hope that this review & the pictures are helpful to you in support of your purchase decision.
I really love the size of this concealed bag. The material is very well made and lightweight. I like the ability to attach it to molle systems or attach to it. It is a mid size shoulder sling bag. It has quite a few pockets. Great value for the money.
Not needing or wanting a full backpack for short to medium bike rides to the gym, pool, around town stops and trail rides - this pack looked like a good idea. It is - or it will be with a few alterations.
As is, it tends to slip to the side at times while riding. It's easy enough to sling back, but another strap under the arm should take care of that.
Another issue is the shoulder strap rubbing against my neck in riding position. Attaching something like a lamb's wool pad there would be great.
While the side mesh pockets are handy, they are not large enough to hold a standard (bike cage), water bottle. I'm reusing a protein shake bottle instead.
Otherwise, there is enough room and are enough pockets to pack what I need - without the bulk of a full pack. The breathable back helps, but nothing will prevent sweating the hills.
In all, I'm satisfied it works for my agenda (or will do).
Customers praised this tactical sling bag as "well-constructed" and "durable" with "plenty of pockets" for organization. Many highlighted the "comfortable padded strap" and ambidextrous design. Ideal for day trips, hiking, and EDC use. Some noted water bottle pockets are small and zippers may lack durability. Excellent value at its price point.
- Versatile mid-sized bag...perfect size. Well-constructed with sufficient pockets and MOLLE loops.
- Amazing attention to detail in design. Comfortable, durable bag with great value for the price.
- This is the perfect day hike bag. Amazing value for the price.

This is a well made sling bag. The main fabric is heavy duty nylon (210D?) The zipper and teeth are plastic but good quality. The fabric is water resistant though long term exposure to sunlight may weaken the fabric.
The main pouch accessed through the top of the bag opens to a large single compartment with a half height divider pouch on one side and a nylon mesh pouch on the other. There is a smaller compartment on the front of the bag. The best design feature is the side pouch accessed from either the left or right side of the bag. This compartment has a Velcro patch sewn in, includes a Velcro backed "tool holder" and is large enough to hold a full size tool (e..g, 1911 or P226).
What makes this ideal is that Fast Track transponder easily fits in the front compartment and the adjustable strap makes it very comfortable to wear while riding a motorcycle.
The "Magic Sticker Area" is really Velcro, but allows for patches to be quickly placed and removed.
Overall a great sling bag - easy to access, well made, comfortable to wear.
This is a good, thick, well stitched bag that is large enough to hold the girlfriends stuff without being a full sized backpack. I was going to give it to one of the grandkids, but the girlfriend claimed it as soon as she saw it. The material seems to be very sturdy and thick. The stitching is full with no thread tags hanging out. All the zippers work well and the lanyards on the zippers are all well made. Even the mesh pockets are pretty good. They will fit a regular 16.9 oz bottle of water, but nothing bigger. She really likes it, so that makes it well worth the 5 star rating I gave it.
I'm using this sling bag as a go bag in my patrol car. It has enough room to store spare mags, medical supplies like tourniquet and combat gauze. I was able to store the naloxalon on the front molle. I put it over the head rest for a quick grab on the run.
Works perfectly for what I needed it for. Even the Chief liked the idea and is looking to order them for all the cruisers.
This is my first sling bag, and I like the design, both generally and this bag in particular. The size is perfect for my needs. It has a pocket for a tablet, a general packet and a couple of smaller compartments. The back zips open from either side allowing easy access to whatever gear you have store there. It also has a tool carrier that can be attached with velcro.
Excellent, EDC sling backpack. It’s compact enough to be very convenient to carry but the pockets are surprisingly spacious, so there’s plenty of room for your extra gear for the day. I put a large, full size Bible in the main compartment with plenty of room to spare. The back, hidden zippered pocket has zippers on both sides for right or left hand draw, & the holster will hold a duty size pistol. This is a quality EDC bag and a great value!
This sling bag/shoulder is a great deal for the price. You can get it for under $22 and it’ll fit all your essentials. The top front zipper pocket has plenty of room for your stuff, plus an attached lanyard for your keys. There’s netting on each edge for a small water bottle. It would be nice if there was larger netting for larger bottles.
The main compartment has three pockets. One of them has a Velcro strap to hold my 11-inch pad in place. There’s also a Mollee system for attaching things.
There are zippers on both sides of the back pocket. One of them has a Velcro strip to attach an included holster, which I use for my G23.
The shoulder belt is padded at the top for a comfortable carry. There are also lots of strap adjustments to fit most people. All the zippers have cords attached for quick and easy access.
Attached to the front Velcro strip is a provided American flag.
I really like this pack, especially when it’s hot outside and I don’t have pockets on my shorts to carry all my stuff.
I have a 40L backpack, a 25L backpack, and a 5L sling bag. The backpacks are great for multi-day trips, and the sling bag is used for tools and EDC gear. I've been looking for something in between those that I could use for day trips, hikes, and 1-nighters... And this G4Free Tactical Sling Bag ended up being the perfect size.
In addition to being well-constructed and having a sufficient number of pockets and MOLLE loops, there are a few notable features that I really like about this model:
1) COMFY SHOULDER STRAP: Many sling bags use a thin strap that can dig into your shoulder. This one is wide, and super thick with padding. This can make a huge difference if you're going on a long hike with a full pack.
2) AMBIDEXTROUS BACK POCKET: The hidden back pocket is accessible from both the left and right sides via two different zippers. Again, this little detail can be a game changer. When you swing the bag around to your front to access it, there will be a zipper in front of your regardless of which shoulder you're carrying it on.
3) STRAP SECURITY: This isn't mentioned in the listing, but they included an elastic band on the adjustable strap that will allow you to tuck in the slack so it isn't flapping all around. This is huge!
This is a versatile, feature-rich sling bag, and I'm really happy with it.
I picked up this shoulder backpack for family trips to amusement parks, and it has been a fantastic choice! With three little boys, I always need a bag to carry essentials, but I dislike carrying a purse. This shoulder bag provides the perfect balance—it keeps my hands free while distributing weight comfortably across my back.
One of the standout features is the amazing attention to detail in the design. I keep discovering additional organizing accessories inside that make it even easier to keep all my belongings secure. The thoughtful compartment layout ensures that everything has its place, making it simple to access what I need quickly. It’s a comfortable, durable bag that holds up well, even with frequent use. The size is just right for carrying all the essentials when we’re out and about, and the price offers great value for what it delivers. I can see this being an amazing bag for hiking, travel, or any outdoor activity where a compact, well-organized carry option is needed. Highly recommend!

• Additional accessories help keep belongings secure

This bag was ordered to be my new primary kit bag for the work items I keep with me at all time but are not on my person or in my purse. The bag is constructed from a durable nylon material. The bag is well sewn and the zipper and strap attachments are superb. The bag hangs well and loads out easily as the openings are wide and the compartments deep and well laid out. I have two different host sizes of screwdrivers with magnetic bits. A torx and hex set and small 12 volt driver. I keep a field sharpener, some aerosol oi, extra lithium ion cells in sealed cases and various power banks and chargers and some spare magazines for my primary.
I fly a lot, try and get everything I need into one bag as a carry-on but then its kind of a pain to pull out headphones, ipad, chargers etc, especially if you get the window seat. This is a nice size. Fits an iPad mini (would fit my 10 inch ipad pro too) as well as my Asus Rog-Ally in a case, a battery pack, and various chargers etc. It's a nice sling strap that is easily adjustable. It has velcro spots for things like patches etc. if that's your thing.
It will not fit my laptop (as advertised it wouldn't) but that's ok - its the perfect size for my use case.
The pictures do not do it justice. This is much bigger than expected, and it's really nicely put together. I would consider this to be more of a smaller backpack than a cross body bag. I love the hidden pocket with the universal holster. This will be a great bag for something like a day hike. 4/5
This bag is well made and of a good design. Plenty of room in the main compartment, with a couple of interior pockets...one with a velcro-type strap. There's also a smaller zipper pocket on the front, as well as molle straps. In addition, there's a large opening on the back (against your body) that opens with zippers from either side. It has a velcro-type patch on the inside that holds the included holster in place. Speaking of the holster, that's why I subtracted a star. It's better than some holsters of this type, but it really offers no type of retention. If you have a small gun, this is not going to work for you. It's large enough for my 2011 or Glock 17...both with lights!...and it still doesn't hold them securely. I'll play around with it some more...there may be a position where it'll work and still be accessible.
Great bag! Plenty of pockets for organization. Love the big hook and loop section for morale patches.
This is an extremely versatile bag for many uses. It's got plenty of pockets, both interior and exterior, and one on the side for that all-important water bottle.
It can be worn as a cross-body bag or shoulder bag, and even has a small handle on top so it can be carried by hand. The carry strap is well padded, so even if the bag is somewhat heavily loaded the strap shouldn't irritate.
Highly recommended for its intended use, especially considering the value for money.
I've had dozens of bags, and finding one for day hikes is always tough for me.
I want 2 full water bottle holders. I want something lightweight but strong and not going to rip. I want storage pockets to actually hold the things I need securely and zippers that will keep functioning. Plus, I prefer one shoulder bags that distribute weight well but don't make my back hot for summer trips.
This bag blew me away. I own a 5.11 backpack I use for rucking an I know the quality they put in to their bags overall. This bag still surprised me.
It's the perfect size for day hikes, holds plenty of real content (snacks, first aid, books/tablets, charging cables) comfortably, sits easily on either shoulder with extra secure straps for those that want to waist wrap as well, and balances it all easily.
I had thought of this as a nice option for hiking to add to my rotation -- it's quickly replacing many other bags for all sorts of uses. Amazing value for the price.
