Compact and very lightweight crossbody/sling bag with concerns

Ive been on a bit of a quest to find the perfect bag for a specific purpose: to carry my wireless over-the-ear headphones, power bank, 8 Galaxy Tab, 20 oz. Gatorade in its drink cooler, and a couple small accessories. Im often waiting for the kids to get finished with a class or other activity and like to have these things with me to occupy myself. The intent is to have a bag I can just keep this stuff in so I can just grab-and-go without having to pack everything up every time. For what I use it for this sling does a pretty decent job, but its not without a couple concerns.

This bag is very compact and lightweight and features just a few compartments to stow stuff. The main dual-zippered compartment has a pair of internal pockets and accommodates my headphones (with case), tablet and power bank easily. It also has an integrated keychain clip and a headphone wire punch-through, adding some utility. A second, smaller breathable compartment sits in front of the main one and is equipped with a drawstring closure to secure a bottle. Its large enough for my Gatorades rather bulky insulated bottle cooler but the fit is a bit tight. The drawstring closure keeps it from falling out though which is a big plus for me. A vertically-zippered pocket on the rear marketed as a hidden RFID signal-blocking pocket is available for cash, cards and such, but its not exactly what I would call hidden when the zipper and trim are constructed of the same contrasting gray against the black bag as the rest of the zippers, and is located about an inch or so from the main compartment. It has a metallic-looking lining so it may be RFID blocking, but hidden? Not so much.

A final slim zippered pocket sewn into the sling on the front side of the bag is handy for phone storage (complete with another finished punch-through for headphone cables). Its a pretty nice feature for this sort of bag, though I suspect it would have trouble accommodating some of the larger smartphones on the market today (my Galaxy S20 5G fits well at about 6 ? x 3 with case, but theres not a whole lot of extra room after that). With all of my gear stowed the bag is just about filled to capacity but my Gatorade bottle causes the bag to contort in an odd way.

The bag is certainly functional but I have concerns about the construction. The material this bag is made of is extremely lightweight and the majority of it lacks any kind of internal liner so it doesnt really even have structure without items filling it (I had to pack a couple hand towels inside to make it stand up to take some of my review photos). Granted, its marketed as lightweight so expectations need to be appropriate, but it just seems overly lightweight in both materials and construction. I dont expect to use it in any sort of rugged situation so Im not too worried, but I suspect any sort of major adventuring would have it falling apart in short order. Id also prefer the handle loop at the top to be a bit more robust, but thats a minor issue. Overall these negatives arent necessarily deal breakers for me so I still consider this a reasonable choice in compact sling bags, but potential buyers should go in with their eyes open about the limitations.

Great light weight bag

This is a great bag for day trips or even when traveling. It's lightweight, made of a parachute type water repellent material and it has alot of pockets, all in the right spots.

The water bottle holder is a nice touch and what I also like is that the strap can be attached on either side so you can use it over you left or right shoulder. That's a good feature that most people won't even know they needed.

Nice lightweight sling bag

The bag is pretty nice, light weight, one main compartment, a water bottle holder and a zippered side pocket in the back. I can see using this for going on walks and keeping your hands free. I got it for my 8yr old nephew so when we go Disneyland he can carry his own things. I was able to put his water bottle in its slot, in the main compartment I rolled up his jacket, an extra shirt, a few snacks, sanitizer and wipes. He said it is lighter than his school backpack. In reality the most weight came from his water bottle. If the sling bag was empty you wouldn't know it was on your person and it will be easy to roll up a put away.

I tried it on myself, the strap stretches to the size for an adult and can be worn on the left or right. The phone case on the strap is a little small for one of the newer phones, and on an adult female the phone pocket is right at your chin (the girls push it up) if wearing in front. On a child it sits on the chest. My nephew said hell be using it to hold his string cheese for easy access.

The lightweight material, I'd compare it to the material used on a windbreaker jacket. I do like the padding on the back, the bag wont completely rest on you letting your back breath.

Plenty of storage in a lightweight, durable bag.

I am so happy to have found this bag! I wanted a lightweight bag that I could wear in winter over my winter jacket and in summer when I don't wear a jacket. I needed to be small enough and easy enough to carry while walking through downtown but roomy enough to hold everything I needed to carry with me to work at the restaurant. Water resistance in case of rain or snow was an added bonus. This bag fits every one of those needs.
I easily fit my server book (5x9) in the inner pocket, my apron, my loaded supply bag, and a lint roller in the main pocket, and my 20 0z metal water bottle in the outer pocket. My wallet can go inside the hidden pocket built into the back (which is big enough for me to fit my entire hand in). My lock and lipstick have plenty of room to spare in the strap pocket (I could even fit my cell phone or wallet in there with them if I wanted). Last but not least, a detachable key ring with a strap inside the main pocket will keep them easy to reach and secure without letting them fall deeper and get lost in the main pocket.
Even fully loaded, the stitches look secure and not stretched. The back of the bag and the strap are lightly padded for comfort without adding bulk.
In short, I am in love with this bag! It meets all my needs and has a beautiful, vibrant teal color to boot. I would definitely recommend this bag.

Nice design but flimsy

I have been looking for a lightweight crossbody bag to use for hiking on an upcoming trip. I was really excited about the design of this bag but in practice I am a little disappointed. The first thing I noticed is the fabric feels super flimsy - I have other lightweight outdoor gear and acknowledge the advantage of keeping the fabric light and compact, but this fabric just feels like it is going to tear apart if I put anything heavy in it. The water bottle pocket on the front is also a thin mesh material and with a steel bottle inside the mesh deforms and sags due to the weight. The layout of the pockets is good - I like that there is a strap pocket, a hidden rear pocket, and several internal pockets. The strap pocket is big enough to hold a small phone (definitely not one with a large case on it) and has a rubber opening for a headphone strap, though there is no hole on the inside (possibly an oversight, or maybe I am supposed to cut this myself??). I was happy to see there was a key strap on the inside but I am not a fan of this being a key ring, most of my bags have a hook so I can attach it to my existing key ring and not have to deal with a separate key ring. Overall I appreciate the idea of this bag but will likely keep looking for something else that feels more sturdy and functional for my trip.

Fantastic, Lightweight, Well Made Turquoise Sling Bag

LOVE my cute new turquoise sling bag! Tons of pockets and reflective details on the bag!

ESP love the cellphone holder pouch on the adjustable, cushioned shoulder sling and the secret rear side zippered pouch on the backside!

Keychain also has reflective detail AND you can remove the black plastic clip! LOVE it! :0)

You even have a mini slot with a reflective tiny happy face at the top of the bag for your earphone wires or it might fit your camelback bladder drinking tube? Not sure, but its there as an option! YAY!

Great price for this lightweight, functional sling bag! You can run quick errands with it, mini walks and mini hikes with it! Enjoy! :0)

Great for casual hiking!

I picked this backpack up because I didnt have a dedicated hiking and outdoors backpack and I felt I needed something small and functional which could hold my water bottle and some of my other supplies.

I really like using this product. It has a lot of features which make it really useful on some of the more casual hiking trails in Arizona. It works great when Im riding my bike and the strap phone pocket also holds cans!

The water bottle pocket can be really loose. The strap has a tendency to shift around under the weight of the water bottle. The carrying capacity is really small and its not really geared for hardcore long distance hiking.

Its great for what youre paying and definitely beats paying $50 for a similar bag at the outdoor stores.

Its a nice lightweight crossbody pack/bag

Lots of positives about this. Its very light weight, so easy to pack if you are traveling. Construction seems good, we shall see with time. Phone case holds my iPhone 11 just fine, but would not hold anything larger. Versatile in the different ways you can carry it, and nice it has clips you can change from right to left. As someone mentioned in a review, it looks like you would have to cut through the fabric to make the headphone slot work, but that being said, not really a big deal if you are careful as the area is well reinforced with stitching. Another complaint I saw was about the key holder. It does come apart so that if you chose to use the ring as your primary key holder for car and dwelling keys, no big deal. You could certainly use it this way short term if you are traveling. The only negative I have about this bag, and this maybe just my problem, I have a favorite Contigo water bottle, 24 oz. It fits just fine in the holder, but being smooth plastic, I have some trouble getting the draw string tight enough to feel like it is being securely held. If I swing the bag off my shoulder, the bottle comes very close to falling out. I might be able to find a workaround for this, or perhaps a different style water bottle would work better. Overall, this bag will serve my needs quite well.

Perfect size

Ive found many sling bags tend to be either too small (fanny-pack) or too big (practically a backpack). I really like this G4Free bag because its a nice in-between size. Theres enough room to carry a book, my sunglasses case, an iPad, and a decent sized water bottle without being too cumbersome. The bag is lightweight, and compact enough I can pack it within my luggage if needed to use once I reach my destination. However, if I want to use it as my airplane carry-on, it also works great. The bag has held up well so far, and my initial impression is that it is solidly constructed. Overall, I think this is a great option, providing awesome overall value for the money.

Good for light things - and small bottle

Used it on a full day at a theme park with a few items inside and a 24 oz contigo bottle. Since I wasnt too trusty that the elastic strap would hold the bottle securely I used a double sided S shape carabiner attached to the top handle- which helped and gave me peace of mind. The reason that I am returning it is that my husband complained about being too comfortable. He struggled a lot with trying to keep the bag in place as it would shift around . Perhaps it was the size of the bottle or him not strapping it too tightly ? Who knows , but in the mean time I will search for something else . Just something to consider.
